Fleur in Fashion

Flowers have long been a source of energy and inspiration for artists, designers, people in the pursuit of beauty and grace, etc. I have always loved and obsessed over fashion and didn't realize until my second evening wear collection that flowers had been an integral part of designing for me. From fresh flowers in the model's hair or held in a nosegay, vintage millinery florals of dilapidated silk and velvet to hand cut petals of satin sewn into dresses, I just can't break away from flowers. 

My book includes quite a few flora inspired drawings of dresses & gowns. Both fashion design and colouring book illustration has been labor intensive but it is a labor of love. Flowers help to invigorate me to keep working in a business that is beautiful but also quite brutal.
